I am sitting here watching The Bachelor, and I completely felt inspired to write this Week 2 Blog Challenge from a womanpulse.com
In the quiet journey of the heart, I’ve discovered truths about love — simple yet profound. Like a gentle breeze, love envelops and fills, effortlessly flowing. I’ve learned to neither chase it, await it, nor force its hand. This wisdom, though simple, holds the power of the universe.
Love, in its purest form, is akin to a breeze that caresses without restraint. Thus, I’ve abandoned the wait, the longing gaze towards a distant horizon. No longer do I utter, ‘When love arrives, then shall I be happy.’ This shift unveiled a fierce independence within me, a freedom that blossomed from the soil of self-love. In releasing the wait, fear dissipated, replaced by a vibrant joy, an embrace of the present.
As a runner, I cherish the miles beneath my feet, but the pursuit of love I’ve left behind. For love is not a marathon to be won nor a race that trims the waist. It’s a serendipitous meeting, a confluence of right time, right place. My task is but to live fully, to bask in joy and let love find its own pace.
Consider the metaphor of sneakers, snug and unyielding. No amount of breaking-in can transform a poor fit into comfort. So it is with love. If the shoe does not fit, return it to its shelf. Let it not squeeze the heart into contortions. For love, in its essence, should not be a struggle or a force that empties the soul.
Many speak of love as a harbinger of pain, but this is a misconception. Love itself does not wound. It is the deeds done in its guise that bring sorrow. True love is an unconditioned caring, a purity that uplifts and nurtures. Love should not be synonymous with hurt; it ought to be a gentle, effortless presence.
In these lessons, I found my peace, my path. Love, when true, is easy, uncomplicated. It’s a symphony that plays to the rhythm of our hearts, a dance that requires no rehearsal. And so, with open arms and a light heart, I embrace love’s wisdom, letting its simple yet profound truths guide my way.
XOXO
