Hey everyone, I wanted to share a quick personal update as I continue my journey with Under The Flamboyant Tree. Right now, I’m actually on my way to El Paso to pick up my beloved cat, Lento. He’ll soon be joining me in Kentucky! Recently, Lento had a scare—he almost went into kidney failure, which, as a senior cat, means he needs a little extra care. With my son starting school soon, I’ve been feeling anxious about leaving Lento behind. The thought of something happening to him while my son was in class was just too much. So, it’s decided—my big boy is coming with me!

On a brighter note, I managed to use my miles to book a flight there and back, which means I’ll have some quiet, uninterrupted time to dive into the hard copy edits of Under The Flamboyant Tree. Each time I revisit the manuscript, I fall in love with the story all over again. There’s something so beautiful about immersing myself in the world I’ve created and watching the characters evolve.

This year has been a whirlwind, filled with unexpected challenges and losses that have really tested my resilience. Yet, despite everything, I still have this sense of hope. I believe something great will come out of these experiences. It has to, right?

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support means the world.
